QA Engineer - ISP (Router) Security, Madrid

As part of one of our most successful teams, this role will work directly work with one of our strategic ISP/Telco Partners in a QA role on a high profile program. This program will enable our partner to distribute security software through their ISP services.
An ISP Field Application Engineer is responsible for gathering Partner Product Requirements, Product Delivery, and Management of the technical relationship for a ISP partner. This is a senior position as it requires direct customer interaction and technical support. Main goals of the position will be to quickly learn the partner specific environments and own the technical interactions on the product deliveries. In the role the candidate will also be required to deeply understand the products delivered, the integration flows with the ISP’s environment and be self-sufficient in working directly with McAfee Engineering to troubleshoot and remediate any issues.
Along with an assessment of the technical skills required, candidates will be assessed on their ability to effectively communicate with customers. Being able to manage the partner relationship through the ability to understand their requirements and professional communication is as essential as the required technical skills.
Activities include regular technical reviews with Partners, Product testing and onsite analyzing debugging of issues, delivering new releases, and verify Partner specific project requirements with Engineering.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead the interaction with ODMs selected by our partner to supply Routers / Gateways and Customer Premise equipment for Consumers, which are supported by McAfee Secure Home Platform.
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish

- Technical Skills
- Quality Assurance role working in an Agile environment
- Linux platforms, preferably embedded
- System integration via Web Services, REST APIs, SDK implementations
- Code writing (C/C++, Web, Java, Shell script)
- Source control
- Debugging (including possible Kernel Debugging)
- Mobile O/S (Android, Windows or iOS)
- Knowledge about Cloud and AWS is a plus
- Customer facing management experience (2+ years)
- Product and Project management experience
- Ability to work independently
The McAfee Consumer Partner Technologies Group leads the integration and deployment of McAfee’s router and network security solutions with our service provide and OEM partners. The Group spans the breadth of responsibilities from partner readiness of new products, 3rd party integration, partner enablement, channel product management, and program management and is a critical partner to Sales/Business Development
The road-map for the Group has a strong focus on integrating our router and network solutions for distribution by our Partners to their respective customer-base. It will also focus on next generation features and solutions. This requires diverse and deep knowledge into McAfee products and systems.
