Job Description

Social Media Community Specialist

The Social Media Community Specialist (B2B) will help play an integral role within McAfee’s Digital Media team as our brand’s eyes and ears in the social space.

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and engage social communities
    • Publish content
    • Identify and surface opportunities for real-time and breakthrough social execution
    • Assist with customer service questions
    • Build brand affinity and advocacy through one-on-one engagements
  • Work with the Digital Media team to execute paid social campaigns
  • Help develop and write content to communicate relevant social messaging to the right audience at the right time, based on real-time insights
  • Actively engage in third party networks and sites (enterprise security focused)
  • Represent McAfee's brand in a transparent and human way
  • Engage with security influencers. Account Management & Internal Collaboration
  • Assist in the management of McAfee’s content calendar to ensure the right mix of evergreen, curated and content assets
  • Manage and execute on social listening (McAfee audiences & IT decision makers)
  • Provide regular monitoring of the audiences to determine:
    • Trending conversations among audience and articles being shared
    • Conversation patterns: language, context, keywords/phrases and hashtags
  • Report on performance, and determined KPIs, on an on-going basis

    Qualifications

    Requirements:
    • 2-3 years of proven work experience in social media marketing experience. Prior experience managing online communities is strongly preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
    • Excellent writing skills (English) and an excellent portfolio
    • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of online marketing and major social media channels
    • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
    • Proven ability to work effectively cross functionally
    • Positive attitude, attention to detail and customer oriented, with good multitasking and organizational abilities
