Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.
McAfee is establishing a Security Center of Excellence in Cork for its Enterprise Security Solutions, to provide both offensive and defensive capabilities. As part of this very exciting new team, McAfee requires a Penetration Tester with 3-5 years’ experience with Endpoint Security Software and Threat Effectiveness experience. This role requires a deep knowledge of current threats and trends in the software/hardware industry as you will be required to perform penetration testing and efficacy testing on Endpoint Solutions. You will be responsible for collaborating with Peer Pentesters and Threat Researchers from all over the Organization such as the Threat Research teams to ensure our Enterprise Solutions are hardened against real world adversaries as well as improve our Protect, Detect, Correct capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent. We can consider other qualifications, if supported by good experience in the field.
One or more of the following Security certifications (or comparable certification):
Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), SANs Certifications or other hands on security certifications.
