Responsible for maintaining and analyzing the ledger accounts and developing & preparing reconciliation statements for assigned Balance Sheet accounts. Ability to resolve the open items resulting from reconciliation process. Support & review the recons prepared by the team members. Help identifying areas requiring process fix, suggest alternatives and drive initiatives to fix the process. Preparing MIS reports / dashboard for all key performance indicators. Custodian of controls designed around processes/ GLs and highlight any deviations & initiate corrective actions. Develops and maintains the policies that govern the Company's reporting process and ensures compliance with generally accepted reporting standards. May define the accounting system roadmap and system requirements of the future and assist or direct system programming resources in the development of accounting systems. Supervision of lower level exempt or non- exempt employees is common among incumbents working in accounting operations. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
Individual should have a Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting / Finance with 15+ years of related experience or a qualified CA/CWA/CS with 3-5 years of related experience. Key competencies and relevant experience in regulatory compliance / financial accounting skills. Should have demonstrated strong business partnership skills with a passion to learn and engage with the business. Strong project / process management skills , ability to work independently to help business identify and solve issues, and effectively communicate across different levels of the organization including Cross functional and Cross Geo. Hands on experience on US GAAP, IFRS & local statutory filing and tax compliance activities will be an added advantage. Strong systems aptitude in MS office & ERP SAP environment.
