Job Title:           Content Release Operations Analyst

Description:  McAfee Labs is looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about understanding business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements. Supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements across all delivery and stakeholder groups.

This opportunity is to join the Production Operations group who are responsible for building, packaging, testing and releasing McAfee’s malware definition (DAT) files each day, in addition to other security updates.  Reporting to the Operations Manager you will have end-to-end involvement in projects to deliver new systems, processes and solutions into daily operations. You will work across Program, Project and Product Managers, stakeholders and delivery teams to gather requirements and ensure delivery of functionality to meet operational needs in a timely manner.

Specific Responsibilities/Functions

  • Understand current operational processes and procedures to identify gaps as well as  areas to improve
  • Elicit requirements using a variety of techniques including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, use cases, task and workflow analysis
  • Evaluate those requirements in order to translate high-level information into details, low-level information to a general understanding and distinguish ‘should have’ from ‘must have’
  • Be the liaison between the Content Release Operations team, delivery team(s) and engineering team(s)
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with the relevant teams to analyse information needs as well as operational, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work in partnership across those teams to establish the technical vision and integration strategy
  • Undertake process analysis, mapping and design
  • Produce  as-is and to-be modelling
  • Provide integration and handover training
  • Assist in the creation of the roadmap to help scope, identify and align priorities, objectives and timelines
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Coordinate resources for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Qualifications & Accreditations

  • Computer science degree or equivalent

Advantageous to have one of more of the following: -

  • Understanding of the Development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Relevant experience of systems analysis and design
  • Performed analysis and testing tasks in previous roles
