About the Organization

The McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) is a technology partnering program that:

  • Accelerates the development of interoperable security products
  • Simplifies the integration of these products with complex customer environments
  • Delivers solutions to maximize the value of existing customer investments, reduce time to problem resolution, and lower operational costs

Central to McAfee Security’s relationship with each SIA partner is at least one customer use case. Use cases are driven by the needs of mutual customers and are architected around innovative integration ideas. Use cases improve threat visibility, and create powerful new security behaviors and workflows. For example, an SIA partner might link their real-time monitoring and threat detection with our incident response and compliance reporting.


The Technology Architect will be responsible for guiding partners through recruitment, development, delivery and GTM strategies for their integrations with McAfee Security SDKs and APIs.  He or she is expected to understand the current product offering set and deployment models as well as the road map features of future product releases of McAfee Security products. Within SIA, the Technology Architect effectively serves as both a business manager and a technical implementation lead, requiring him or her to forge business relationships within the organization to fulfill a broad variety of requirements.     

To achieve joint partner and McAfee Security’s business goals, the Technology Architect is required to demonstrate strong communication, coordination and creative problem solving expertise. He or she will work on a range of diverse partner implementation projects, requiring the ability to develop detailed definitions of use cases, functional specifications, matrix team management, partner interactions, and the engagement of appropriate McAfee Security Group resources including business development, sales, project management, application engineering, SDK engineering, marketing, and customer/technical support. He or she will also be capable of diving into partner technologies, understanding them to the depth of being able establish POCs or demonstrate completed integrations in person or via webcast.

Explicit Responsibilities

  • Educate and engage key partners McAfee Security integration platforms (APIs)
  • Help define customer and market-driven integrated solutions with partners
  • Architect new integrations with out-of-the-box thinking
  • Develop key use cases, flow diagrams and reference architectures
  • Manage integration efforts between partners and SIA engineering teams
  • Work with Sales, PM and Engineering identify key portfolio partnership priorities and opportunities
  • Provide input into partner strategy and prioritization plans
  • Program-manage the technology integration roadmap
  • Prioritize and drive multiple projects at different stages of development across multiple partners
  • Become a SME (Subject-Matter Expert) on integrations and SDKs
  • Demonstrate integrations for POCs or Webcasts
  • Support the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance partner strategy and measured goals of the Business Development team
  • Provide expert technology opinion and develop thought leadership both with partners and within McAfee Security
  • Grow the positive visibility of the SIA program in the security industry


The Technology Architect will possess a diverse skill-set including, but not limited to:

  • Technical expertise of Enterprise Security including network and end-point
  • Technical understanding of Orchestration, SIEM UEBA and EDR technologies would be highly desirable 
  • Understand the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Demonstrate proficiency in virtualization and Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud technologies
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Experience in partner integrations and demonstrated success in creating joint solutions through OEM and Technology partnerships
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is a must for all geography assignments 
  • High proficiency in public speaking and presentation skills
  • Technical or Engineering degree with business background 
  • 10-12 years technical work experience in software, ecommerce, mobile space, and/or web ind



The Technology Architect plays a critical role within the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partnering program, working alongside the business development team to identify, develop and manage key technology partnerships that fulfill the “Better Together” vision of McAfee.  He or she would blend technology expertise, product management, program management and professional interpersonal relationship skills to spearhead the delivery of API-based integrated solutions. He or she would also act as a liaison between SIA partners and McAfee Security product management and engineering teams.
