About this position…

The Professional Services Consultant will be a key member of McAfee Security Federal Solution Services team. The McAfee HBSS Systems Consultant and will be responsible for providing implementation and operational support of McAfee ePO, PA, HIPS enterprise solutions.

What you will do…

  • Develops and tracks project schedules to deliver high quality services offerings according to plan
  • Drive several initiatives to implement the Intel Security acquired solutions and provide ongoing professional services for customers
  • Apply advanced experience with network and application security, multi-tier security infrastructures, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other technologies
  • Provide information security capabilities across customer’s networks and data computing infrastructure
  • Conduct security assessments; communicate recommendations to clients in verbal and written format
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, countermeasures, security tools, and network technologies
  • Coordinate/contribute to multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Documents best practices
  • Operate and Maintain ePolicy Orchestrator (“ePO”) Server(s)
    • Reviewing existing ePO architecture and determine ePO network usage
    • Making recommendation for ePO architecture upgrades
    • Analyzing ePO agent “push” and an alternative to SMS “push”
    • Reviewing existing Customer software release and patch levels and update policies
    • Verifying Systems met Hardware/Software specifications for upgrade
    • Reviewing existing ePO Hardware/Software configuration
    • Recommending preparation steps for ePO server upgrade
    • Making recommendation for product upgrades
    • Operate and Maintain Repository Server(s)
    • Operate and Maintain SQL Server(s)
    • Support Production implementation of ePO
    • Advice for ePO Agent rollout and VirusScan update strategy
    • Advice regarding operational and administrative procedures for ongoing management of the upgraded ePO and VirusScan software implementation
    • Support Production implementation of AV/AS
    • Support Production implementation of HDLP
    • Support Production implementation of HIPS & sub-components
    • Support Production implementation of Rogue System Detection
    • Support Production implementation of Assets Module

  • Support Production implementation of HIPS
    • Review of the current ePO deployment to insure minimum requirements for HIPS upgrade are in place
    • Review HIPs component configuration, security policies and business process documents to ensure implementation is in accordance with best business practices (BBPs) & DoD policy.
    • Review network architecture.
    • Review ePO Directory structure and policies to facilitate deploying HIPS to network.
    • Review security policy development for HIPS (IPS, Firewall and Application Blocking)
    • Review “Best Practices” for the implementation of HIPS

  • Support Production implementation of PA
    • Review of the current ePO deployment to ensure minimum requirements for Policy Auditor are in place
    • Review existing software release and patch levels and update policies
    • Verify that Systems met Hardware/Software specifications for upgrade
    • Determine upgrade path
    • Review security policies and business process documents to ensure implementation is in accordance with the business practices
    • Review any modifications to the project roadmap, including identification of potential design flaws that may have adversely affected the Customer environment and/or end users
    • Review network architecture
    • Review ePO Directory structure and policies

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.  Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Security Engineering or similar Degree
  • 3+ years implementing Security applications and developing business processes
  • IAT Level III 8570 Compliant
  • Active Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering service offerings in McAfee HIPS, PA, ePO solutions
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills.
  • Experience with RFP, RFI and customer architecture discussions
  • Promotes Professional Services via speaking and writing opportunities
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer Science Degree (BS or MS)
  • CISSP or CASP Certification
