Description

The Key Deal Alignment position is part a Global team initiative responsible for the review, coordination and approval of non-standard Sales quotes including some high-end business segments of Mid-Market and Corporate/Enterprise. The Key Deal Alignment role is a significant senior position within the Quote Operations Organization reporting into the Quoting Operations Manager. This group of individuals will monitor the quotes queue and be responsible for quote approval as well as focusing on relationship building with the Sales team within their assigned region/business segment. Assessment of quotes in order to maximize upfront revenue while ensuring that quotes comply with the key company guidelines of Revenue, Technical Support, Licensing and Pricing are primary elements of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategically support a specific region/business segment of the Sales Organization in the review and approval of quotes, ensuring they are structured effectively to be approved in line with corporate policies and guidelines.
- Interact closely with the Key Deal Manager and Revenue Accounting team to support key quarter close activities, such as contract reviews, and reporting requirements while maximizing revenue.
- Proactively work with the Sales team in the supported region to resolve any queries or issues in a timely manner, providing alternative courses of action where possible when submitted quotes cannot be progressed. This includes the negotiation of discount rates to ensure the revenue position of the company is protected.
- Act as the Liaison with different departments of the organization including Legal, Finance, Operations, Program Management, Sales and Technical Support to coordinate quote approvals as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of McAfee’s products, processes and promotions in order to provide a best-in-class level of support to Sales.
- Verify quote to ensure required criteria is met with regard to discounts, margins, contracts, promotions, COG’s, VSOE and products.

Qualifications

- Relevant work experience in a multi-national Order Management, Finance/Accounting or Channel role would be an advantage as would some exposure to dealing with Sales professionals.
- College degree with a focus in Accounting would be preferred. CPA certification or in process of acquiring would be a big plus.
- Good communication skills and excellent analytical skills including paying great attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills experienced with Microsoft Office required. Previous experience working in Siebel, SAP or similar business Applications would be helpful.

About the Role:


The Sr. Accountant will ensure assigned General Ledger tasks are completed. The Sr. Accountant is responsible for assigned corporate reconciliations, journal entries and completing the month and quarter end close process. Role is responsible for both US GAAP and local statutory books. Provides documentation as requested from internal or external auditors. Assists in the proper documentation and validation of procedures to ensure SOX compliance. The Sr. Accountant will report to the Regional Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure that assigned accounts are reconciled and narratives are prepared for variance analysis.
- Accounts will focus on cash, receivables, fixed assets, accounts payable, equity, foreign currency, and other accounts among other things.
- Prepares monthly reports in a timely manner and assist in report development.
- Analyze assigned accounts and reconciliations.
- Provide recommendations for improvement of accounting processes and document procedures
- Assist in providing data and analysis for internal and external customers
- Assist with internal and SEC reporting
- Local statutory books and tax returns
- Special projects as assigned
- Develop, interpret, and ensure the consistent application of organization policies.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

- Bachelors' degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years experience in public accounting preferred
- Must be proficient with PC software such as MS Office
- Experience in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle required
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish (required)
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written in both languages
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexible and willing to do what it takes to get the job done

About the Role:


As a "Trusted Advisor", a Resident Support Account Manager will foster strong relationships between McAfee and its customer and will be relied upon to provide advice and recommendations, based upon their own experience and expertise, for McAfee products across all levels of an organization. The RSAM will be an on-site McAfee resource, dedicated to the needs of one customer. They serve as a customer advocate to support the proper functioning of McAfee products deployed throughout the organization. With a goal to support continued renewals and product purchases, they will think strategically and recognize opportunities for revenue generation and competitive displacement, and share that information with their Sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Advocacy

- Monitor and manage each of their customers' issues daily with emphasis on progressing cases towards resolution and having the appropriate resources involved

- Collaborate, communicate and coordinate with customers, Product Specialists, Tier III, Development and Management as required to ensure customers' satisfaction

- Provide weekly status update summary to the customer for all of their current open issues and copy the customer's sales representative on those updates

- Represent customers' interest when they need a patch, hotfix or FMR at all levels within our organization

- Provide customer with proactive communication regarding program information, supportability issues and strategic product plans.

- Help identify, recommend, and implement improvements in existing processes and procedures related to the proper functioning of McAfee products.

- Business Advocacy

- Provide information to update the Customer Hotlist / Watchlist entries weekly or as status changes

- Ensure internal and customer service level agreements are met for all issues

- Assist in maintaining effective and efficient communication between customers, sales, McAfee management, and Product Specialists

- Provide customers with monthly and quarterly Executive Summary Reports and host conference calls as needed for the customer and McAfee virtual team to discuss past or current issues. Work with the customer during these sessions to establish customer agreement with severity and impact assigned to issues.

- Communicate customer's case escalations after theses sessions to management so they can be presented to Tier III for inclusion on escalations to development

- Maintain personal technical competency level of McAfee products deployed suitable to clearly understand customer issues and to facilitate effective resolution

- Work with the customer and provide product reports as required.

- Review product configuration and advise on best practices when required

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience & Education:

- Must Have Experience Supporting McAfee Product Line
- Minimum five years applicable experience, of those three years must be experience in relationship or customer management in a technical environment with named or dedicated accounts
- Experience in management of technical projects requiring coordination of various resources for successful outcome
- Strong working knowledge of the McAfee Security product line
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution, especially in computer science, mathematics, or a related field, is required
- CompTIA Security, CISSP, PMP, and/or CISM Certification preferred and possibly required for continued employment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong personal interaction, presentation and telephone interaction skills at the business professional services level
- Strong personal computing skills in Windows 2000/XP and Windows Server 2003
- Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements in a dynamic environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance may be required
