Basic Function and Scope of the Position

The Key Deal Alignment position is part a Global team initiative responsible for the review, coordination and approval of non-standard Sales quotes including some high-end business segments of Mid-Market and Corporate/Enterprise. The Key Deal Alignment role is a significant senior position within the Quote Operations Organization reporting into the Quoting Operations Manager. This group of individuals will monitor the quotes queue and be responsible for quote approval as well as focusing on relationship building with the Sales team within their assigned region/business segment. Assessment of quotes in order to maximize upfront revenue while ensuring that quotes comply with the key company guidelines of Revenue, Technical Support, Licensing and Pricing are primary elements of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategically support a specific region/business segment of the Sales Organization in the review and approval of quotes, ensuring they are structured effectively to be approved in line with corporate policies and guidelines.
- Interact closely with the Key Deal Manager and Revenue Accounting team to support key quarter close activities, such as contract reviews, and reporting requirements while maximizing revenue.
- Proactively work with the Sales team in the supported region to resolve any queries or issues in a timely manner, providing alternative courses of action where possible when submitted quotes cannot be progressed. This includes the negotiation of discount rates to ensure the revenue position of the company is protected.
- Act as the Liaison with different departments of the organization including Legal, Finance, Operations, Program Management, Sales and Technical Support to coordinate quote approvals as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of McAfee’s products, processes and promotions in order to provide a best-in-class level of support to Sales.
- Verify quote to ensure required criteria is met with regard to discounts, margins, contracts, promotions, COG’s, VSOE and products.

Qualifications

- Relevant work experience in a multi-national Order Management, Finance/Accounting or Channel role would be an advantage as would some exposure to dealing with Sales professionals.
- College degree with a focus in Accounting would be preferred. CPA certification or in process of acquiring would be a big plus.
- Good communication skills and excellent analytical skills including paying great attention to detail.

The EMEA Quote Creation Representatives and Quote Approver (KDA) form part of a new Global team initiative responsible for the detailed entry, review, co-ordination and approval of non-standard quotes for the Sales teams across EMEA

Our EMEA Quote Creation Representatives work alongside the Quote Approver (KDA) for a specific geographical region/business segment and reports into the EMEA Quoting Operations Team Lead. These Representatives will focus on relationship-building and assisting the Sales team with the compilation, entry and assessment of quotes. The Quote Creation Representative will also support their regional Quote Approver by carrying out pre-checks on the quotes to ensure they comply with the guidelines of Revenue, Technical support and Licensing & Pricing. Candidates must have good communication skills and excellent analytical skills including paying great attention to detail.

The Quote Creation Representative is expected to understand the overall business objectives of the Quoting Operations team in order to provide a best-in-class service.

Basic Function and Scope of the Position

Specific Responsibilities/Functions

· Strategically support a specific region/business segment of the EMEA Field Sales Organisation in the compilation, entry and review of quotes before submittal to the Quote Approver (KDA) for approval.

· Interact closely with the Quote Approver (KDA) and Key Deal Manager (KDM) team to support key quarter close activities and reporting requirements.

· This interaction will include reviewing all quotes in the system and pre-checking the account information ahead of Quote Approver (KDA) processing

· Pro-actively work with the Sales team in your region/business segment to resolve any queries or issues in a timely manner, providing alternative courses of action where possible when requested quotes cannot be progressed.

· Liaise with different departments of the organisation, including Legal, Finance, Operations, Sales & Support to co-ordinate quote approvals as required.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of McAfee's products, processes and promotions in order to provide a best-in-class and timely level of support to Sales.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

· Relevant work experience in a multi-national/ IT organisation or in an order management/finance/channel role would be an advantage as would some exposure to dealing with Sales professionals.

· Good communication skills & excellent analytical skills including paying great attention to detail.

· Strong work ethic & organisational skills required

· Strong Computer skills (Office, Outlook etc). Previous experience of working in Siebel, SAP or similar business applications would be helpful.

· Fluency in English & another European language would be an advantage in supporting the SEUR, NEUR, EMER and CEUR regions.

Job Description

Localisation is a process that enables companies to adapt products or services to the local regional market. The Localisation Co-ordinator will work as part of a team in McAfee and with multiple 3rd party suppliers to deliver localized material to the project teams within McAfee. The Localisation Co-ordinator will help scope, schedule and track projects with the 3rd party suppliers and also help with monitoring supplier performance. He/She will ensure successful processing of all translation requests and that the delivery of translated material is accurate and has been validated to comply with quality guidelines. He/She will help to ensure that the translated material is delivered back to project teams to budget and timescale. This is a hands-on role and a great opportunity to gain exposure to the following areas within the localisation industry:

· Project Management - scoping, schedules, risk management, project execution, reporting

· Translation Tools and technologies

· Technical knowledge of Help and Documentation systems

· Terminology Management

· Quality Assurance

· Understanding of the localisation process and foreign customs and conventions.

Qualifications
