About the Role and Responsibilities
Location: Santa Clara, CA
About the Role:
The Consultant will lead incident response and forensics investigations; communicate findings and recommendations to clients in verbal and written format. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, countermeasures, security tools, incident response tools and processes, computer forensics tools and techniques, and chain of custody processes. The Consultant will maintain technical proficiency, sharing knowledge throughout the firm through tool development, template enhancements, methodology enhancements, and by identifying and implementing improvements in existing processes and procedures. The Consultant will mentor other consultants and peers in new techniques, tools and other job skills. The Consultant will need to be available to travel frequently and on short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong technical background in the application security domain
- Threat modeling and code review experience
- Familiar with code review tools (i.e. Fortify, etc.)
- Programming ability in one or more programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, .Net, Python, Ruby etc.
- Strong written communication skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- People/Team Management
- Capable of training in front of large audience
Qualifications
Required Experience/ Skills & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Forensics, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 2 years’ experience with incident response and computer forensics skills
- Experience with industry leading computer forensics analysis tools
- Forensics image collection and analysis experience
- Network traffic analysis experience
- Chain of custody experience
- Programming and scripting abilities
- Good verbal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
Preferred:
- Expert witness testimony experience
- Malware reverse engineering skills
- Experience with McAfee ePO
