Role Overview:

As Trusted advisor, reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager for the region and working from our Bogotá offices, you are responsible for selling McAfee products (through distribution channels) and performing account management responsibilities for existing customers, as well as generating new customers by outbound calls or internet engagement with qualified leads for the Latin America Market.

Identify decision makers, determine customer needs, and explain product/service alternatives. Recommend the most suitable products/services, identifies features and benefits, overcomes customer objections, closes the sale and prepares appropriate documentation. Attempts to cross-sell or up-sell each account and refers to other parts of the sales force as appropriate. Inform and engage with your customers using persuasive techniques to motivate; urge timely action of actual purchases with McAfee technology.

About the role:

  • Achieve sales quotas on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Sell to existing McAfee customers and to new customers in the Commercial space

  • Close inbound sales calls and generate outbound sales calls

  • Utilize prospect data issued for cold calling as required

  • Ability to analyze business need, present McAfee’s value, negotiate and close deals with IT managers and senior decision makers within the Commercial space

  • May be required to visit large accounts in the Commercial segment based on the size of the deal and competition

  • Maintain customer records, and update Insight Sales CRM daily

  • Responsible for strategic account planning

  • Apply McAfee inside sales methodology to initiate contact with customers, ascertain buyer needs, recommend products, and close the sale

  • Work within the guidelines set out by the Company’s Code of Practice to ensure that customer satisfaction in achieved

  • Effectively utilize the channel and resources in making and fulfilling orders

  • Prepare quotes that are correctly drafted and submitted for processing as per company requirements

  • Ensure that quotes are also raised by resellers

  • Report on activity and maintain record of sales

  • Qualify and follow up on sales leads

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with channel partners

  • Keep up to date with latest industry trends as well as company’s competitive position within the market

About You: 

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and targets

  • 2 years or more of experience in tele sales or sales  

  • You stay current with industry trends

  • Comfortable working in highly interactive environments

  • You are eager to share knowledge with peers and work as a member of a collaborative and effective team

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with others

  • Excellent at time management, meeting objectives and effectively setting priorities

  • Knowledge of McAfee products, knowledge of the pros and cons of competitor products

  • Good understanding of sales cycles in conjunction with business processes externally and internally, e.g., signoffs require relationships at all levels
