Job Title:  Software Cloud Architect.  

Location:  Plano, Texas

Role Overview:

As an Architect role  The person will be an integral part of Data Intelligence Group  and will be reporting into Director , Engineering. To be successful in this role you should have exceptional leadership , communication and project management skills with multiple years of exp as a Technology specialist  and belief in developing the skills and talents of others. The role includes  responsibility  for making high level design choices for the cloud architecture, frameworks, protocols,  API’s and cloud services. Determines cloud design practices, development tools, and validation requirements. Interacts with multiple technologists in the product management, product engineering and within the industry as well as between developers and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

The individual should have  expertise in the definition, design, implementation, development, adoption and adherence to enterprise architecture strategies, processes and standards, experience in the cloud technologies like AWS/Azure/Google cloud Platform a must.

About the Role:

  • Drive innovation & Research in the area of cloud operations and software engineering.
  • Work with senior management and peers to develop practices which lead to the highest quality products and drive transformation change within the cloud
  • Develop systems to invest, analyze, and take automated action across real-time feeds of high-volume data
  • Act as a technical and solution expert in the areas of Big Data Management, Data on Cloud, AWS Data Services AI / Machine learning capabilities in Data Platforms
  • Design End to End Solutions of processing the data in the Cloud.
  • Evaluate technology being used in the environment and work with architect teams to ensure the best tools for the job are being used
  • Align and own the architectural road map for cloud-based solutions that balances needs including scalability, reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Motivate, oversee, coach and grow the scrum teams as appropriate
  • Provide direct, honest, and constructive developmental feedback to achieve high performance and career growth
  • Will be a technical resource for the team regarding security, performance, deployment, troubleshooting, and effective testing of the full interaction the Cloud with our platform
  • Work with compliance/security to ensure that cloud adoption is managed / governed in line with industry standards

About You: 

  • Strong business acumen and agility within a large, matrixed organization
  • Ability to listen, adopt and influence are essentials
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor a team
  • 10+ years of related software engineering experience with at least 5 having been in a management capacity.
  • Strong expertise in Big Data Technologies.
  • experience with a combination of AWS Cloud Platform, S3, glacier, AWS data Services, Redshift, Lambda functions, Apache Spark, and Python
  • Worked on solutions to build Data Pipeline in cloud.
  • Expert in  No Sql databases and related technologies in AWS.
  • Understands and can articulate the technical merits and business value of Cloud computing options
  • Proficient knowledge with public cloud services – AWS preferred
  • Experience with various coding languages including, but not limited to: C/C++, C#, Python and Java.
  • Experience with technology infrastructure, storage, and virtualization
  • Bachelors/Masters in Engineering (preferably in IT or CS)
