Role Overview:

Reporting into the Direct of IT Cloud Services, McAfee is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual passionate about helping McAfee advance in the cloud.  This role will be responsible for leading the functions of the Cloud Business Office, supporting the greater charter of the IT Cloud Services organization. 

Responsibilities will include managing McAfee’s agreements with cloud service providers, central cloud account management, cloud financial and cost reporting and support of the cloud cost chargeback processes, reserved instance allocation and management, scrum master duties, project on-boarding, stakeholder communications, service catalog enhancements and modifications, and incident and problem management. 

The Cloud Business Office Manager will be a key role in partnering with McAfee’s IT Cloud Services and other IT teams, McAfee Finance, McAfee Product Engineering teams, McAfee Information Security, and a variety of cloud service providers.  Partnering with these teams, the Cloud Business Office Manager will be responsible for providing critical cloud business and operational related services and must possess a passion for delivering services founded on heightened quality and excellence driven by a thirst for continuous improvement and learning.

About the Role:

  • Engage with public cloud service providers to ensure agreements, discount programs, and enterprise support levels align with McAfee needs.
  • Directly manage technical engineering and operational support team members. 
  • Ensure Cloud Business Office team members are responding and completing internal customer new public cloud account requests in a timely manner. 
  • Working with IT Cloud Services Engineering and Information Security teams, identify required governance, security controls, and automation opportunities. 
  • Act as Scrum Master faciliating all Scum ceremonies and processes across the IT Cloud Services teams. 
  • Act as initial point of contact on behalf of the IT Cloud Services team and work closely with internal McAfee teams requiring cloud based IT project support.
  • Manage all aspects of communications to internal stakeholders including change, incident and other service related concerns. 
  • Deliver and maintain a financial cloud cost reporting solution that supports McAfee Finance as well as business unit leadership financial management needs. 
  • Provide a recurring reserved instance advisement and allocation service whereby all public cloud reserved instances are managed across the enterprise, ensuring cloud spend levels are optimized. 
  • Working with the McAfee ServiceNow platform team, lead the design and definition of the IT Cloud Services request and incident ticket types and update as needed. 
  • Working with the IT Service Management team, ensure the proper processes and controls are in place to support standardized incident and problem management practices. 

About You: 

  • We seek a seasoned technical operations leader whose background and passion aligns well to IT and cloud based organizations and has focused on strategically and tactically developing and managing concurrent, high-impact services. 
  • Posessing first-rate organizational skills, you’ll be focused on developing, managing and/or delivering high priority, diverse projects and on time and of the highest quality. 
  • You will ideally have been Scrum Master trained and have extensive experience leading teams using Scrum practices. 
  • Your proven interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills will enable you to collaborate and be influential at all levels. 
  • You have past experience and exposure working with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. 
  • Familiarity with management concepts and best practices related to public cloud reserved instances. 
  • Bring your well-honed research and analytical skills to cover a wide range of new and emerging business and technical areas of needs and opportunities. 
  • You have a proven work history working across organizations requiring you to influence others indirectly in order for you to accomplish your direct goals.
