Role Overview:

The Business Development Representative’s (BDR) customers are the Inside Sales Reps, who are responsible for converting opportunities into revenue. BDRs work every element of the lead development lifecycle: inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting using marketing automation software, digital content distribution, salesforce.com (SFDC) for contact and activity tracking. BDRs engage with multiple personas, buyers, and influencers in the course of nurturing leads through the sales funnel in accordance with a defined lead management process

Contribute to the increase in quantity and quality of leads provided to the Inside Sales team by:

  • Validating and researching inbound leads
  • Researching and outreach to new customer targets
  • Nurturing leads for existing customers and new logo accounts
  • Engaging in one-on-one digital conversations, texting, e-mail, phone calls, LinkedIn and other mediums to qualify leads
  • Scheduling meetings between a lead and an Inside Sales Rep

About the role:

Participate as a pioneer in the recreation the BDR team at McAfee. World class B2B companies involved in complex sales are building dedicated Business Development teams. The BDR is crucial to the competitive viability of companies who are responding to the needs of the evolving buying process by providing a crucial link to connect with prospects at the early stages of the process.

 A Day in the Life

  • Active prospecting and corresponding with prospects via phone, email and social media 
  • Building rapport with contacts to create Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for McAfee sales teams
  • Leverage and update buyer personas and buying process maps in order to align with the buyer’s perspective
  • Obtain general knowledge of the Cybersecurity industry
  • Ability to learn about McAfee product offerings to enable you to create interest and educate prospects
  • Ability to engage the appropriate stage resources (i.e. ISR, Sales Engineers, etc.) to move the prospect through the buying stages
  • Adherence to the McAfee Lead Management process

About you: 

  • Graduating between May 2019 - August 2019
  • Preferably 1-2 years of professional experience interacting with customers
  • Energetic, personable, resilient and responsive
  • Willingness to learn technology and be able to educate our prospects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Independent self-starter
  • Preferred experience with SFDC, sales processes and basic reporting
  • Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality, be results driven and customer focused
