Role Overview:

The Performance Marketing CXD team works with cross-functional (i.e., different) groups to rapidly test the effectiveness of marketing communications to drive business results for an organization that supports over 600 million customers worldwide. We are a customer-obsessed team, focusing on our customers across trial, retention, OEM, retail, and direct channels. We are looking for a writer with a particular set of skills. You should be able to write quickly, clearly, and adapt your tone to match the many assets and channels we use to speak to our customers. You should also be open to new and varied projects and unexpected requests. That means everything from a single line in-product message to blogs about online protection. There’s no writing request too big or too small in this role. This is a client-side job in the very best sense of the term. You need to be ready to learn about the business of online protection by working with smart people way outside of your area of expertise. Still with us? Good. This is a remote position based in either the United States or Canada. We will only consider candidates in the United States or Canada and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About this role:

  • Support in the day-to-day copy and proofreading tasks of layout, template-building, edits, and final file prep for all retention marketing activities.

  • Rapidly iterating content based on data-driven test results across a variety of marketing communications.

  • Applying messaging framework guidelines to various assets, channels, and customer segments throughout all points of the customer journey.

  • Running user preference tests to gather customer driven qualitative insights to inform content creation.

  • Provide content creation services for Retention, Growth, Brand, and Social. Delivering bespoke copy and content on request for initiatives including digital channels, packaging, above the line advertising, below the line advertising and digital merchandising.

  • Collaborate and communicate with design leadership, test owners, and project managers.

  • Responsible for supporting and proofreading Marketing brand guidelines.

  • Propose solutions to designers on how the copy and artwork can work together on creative projects, with the goal of improving creativity.

  • Guide and inform designers on layout requirements to inform and complement business objectives.

  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, increase turnaround times, and work cooperatively and jointly to continue to provide a quality copywriting service to the business.

  • Build and maintain relations between the content team and other cross-functional partners.

  • Write text and/or copy-edit text and/or proofread text on an ad hoc basis for any cross-functional teams to determine and support the creative vision for the company.

  • Work on large and small-scale projects, both long-term and short-term

About you:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a copywriter.

  • A portfolio of work with an emphasis on digital content across a variety of channels is required. Please provide a password if needed.

  • You have experience writing content for marketing campaigns with a specific focus on digital channels and assets.

  • You have experience working directly with clients to iterate, deliver, and present work.

  • Experience working within an agile environment is strongly preferred.

  • You have experience working in a test and learn/performance marketing style environment.

  • You have outstanding writing skills, including the ability to self-edit and to write in a variety of voices and styles.

  • You understand  UX principles and how they relate to copy is a plus.

  • You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute campaigns.

  • You have knowledge and understanding of ADA and accessibility guidelines and requirements.
