Role Overview:

McAfee is hiring a Director of ePMO Portfolio reporting to our VP of Business Operations and Chief of Staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven experience managing a portfolio of programs supporting the delivery of our strategy (e.g., Growth Programs, GAP). He or She will be responsible for rationalizing our portfolios of work into a cohesive view across the business, in addition to identifying programs to charter, ensuring resources are allocated, and monitoring progress against key delivery milestones.

This is a remote position in United States with travel to major hubs in San Jose and Dallas. We will only consider candidates currently in United States and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

  • Lead cross-functional, high-impact strategic programs and facilitate the creation of the portfolio including breaking down the portfolio into work that can be owned and managed by program or delivery teams
  • Determine, track, and report metrics that measure the successful implementation of various strategic projects and initiatives
  • Develop and manage the reporting structure to provide senior leadership with an independent analysis of the overall portfolio health and visibility into individual program status including a focus on risk mitigation and issue resolution
  • Assesses risk, identifies issues and uses structured mitigation approaches. Drive trade-offs, discussions, and decisions across the portfolio by providing leadership with options, data, recommendations, and principles behind the decision-making process
  • Drives plans, dependencies, resources, communications, expectations and change management. Adjust the portfolio as needed to change ensuring continuous speedy delivery against business outcomes
  • Build a high performing Program Management capability and team that drives delivery of business outcomes.
  • Establishes and maintains lines of communication across the enterprise and partner organizations in support of programs and initiatives to improve customer success and drive operational efficiencies; ensuring collaborative and productive program teamwork across functions and geographies to deliver on goals.
  • Instill a customer-centric culture and way of working into everything you do, using best practices and frameworks
  • Bring Lean and Agile principles to the daily workplace, to learn quickly and course-correct on the fly

About you: 

  • 12+ years of solid experience in program management within a fast-moving technology driven organization
  • Strong technology background, preferably direct software development experience
  • Demonstrated operational excellence in leading large, complex projects, across multiple business units, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple programs simultaneously
  • Deep understanding and experience with data driven decision making
  • Strong technical competence, proven business acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proven experience partnering with or supporting senior level executive(s) or broad business divisions
  • Strong business management ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
  • Experience attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent; developing and coaching team members
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
