Job Title: Chief of Staff, Program Director - Consumer Business

Role Overview:

Reporting into the EVP of Consumer Business, McAfee is seeking a seasoned, multi-tasking, highly organized and process oriented Chief of Staff. As a senior consultant and key adviser to the EVP, the mission of this role is to facilitate the achievement of the organization’s objectives and provide high-quality leverage and insights.  

The successful candidate will drive focus and execution of Consumer Business priorities, manage the operating mechanisms and reporting, and prioritize requests and demands for the EVP’s time. This key confidential adviser and thought-partner will conduct strategic analysis and share insights, track and report on cross functional business initiatives, partner with BU leaders and the Executive Admin to foster transparency, facilitate communication, and streamline execution to help the organization meet and exceed its commitments.

About the Role:

  • In active partnering with the EVP, BU leaders and other operational leaders across the company, provide strategic and tactical insights and leverage by focusing on operational priorities, time management, meeting preparation, prioritization of activities and collection and reporting of program progress reports
  • Prepare for Quarterly Business Reviews, Board of Managers meetings, Staff meetings, agenda, notes, actions/follow ups. Partner at times with the executive communications team regarding internal and external messaging, including keynote presentations. Responsibilities can include topic ideation and research; script development; and PowerPoint slides with notes. 
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with the EVP’s direct reports, key cross-functional leaders, and employees at all levels.
  • Ensure all staff issues are addressed properly, efficiently and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolved.
  • Coordinate the execution of cross functional strategic initiatives. Organize and execute activities in a productive and collaborative environment. Work across organizations to accomplish goals.
  • Set monthly and quarterly plans based on BU priorities and applying KPIs to measure progress; manage various program’s actions and deliverables that reflect and address these priorities and manage inbound requests based on the Plan
  • Partner with the EVP to design, implement, and manage the operational KPIs for the organization, including business KPIs such as revenue, opportunity and expense tracking by product line.  KPI management will include employee, customer, partner and business indicators required to drive success.

About You:

  • Possessing first-rate organizational skills, you’ll be focused on developing, managing and/or delivering high priority, diverse projects on time and of the highest quality
    • Problem framing – identify and promote structures/frameworks/models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs at hand
    • Project management - successfully shepherd complex projects; is clearly organized, retains a strategic vision while sweating the details, and can comfortably influence all levels of stake holders and customers
    • Operating in ambiguity - can hold multiple, conflicting “truths” at once, and not get perturbed by lack of clear direction
  • Your proven interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills will enable you to collaborate and be influential at all levels
  • Bring your well-honed research and analytical skills to cover a wide range of business and technology areas. Specific to detailed analysis, we’ll enjoy learning how you establish, measure and report on KPIs
  • Business travel will take place, including potential international trips, but with advance planning in mind
