Role Overview:

Reporting into the EVP of Corporate Products, McAfee is seeking a seasoned, multi-tasking, highly organized Operations Leader.    Working across the global organization, the focus of this opportunity is balanced between tying together all operational elements of the organization while influencing the business units’ operational cadence.   The mission of this role is to facilitate the achievement of the EVP’s objectives and provide leverage and insights.   The successful candidate will prioritize requests and requirements from the EVP, partner with the EVP’s direct reports and others to streamline and manage commitments and run numerous, cross functional engineering and business initiatives.

About the Role:

  • In active partnering with the EVP, BU leaders and other operational leaders across the company, provide strategic and tactical insights and leverage by focusing on operational priorities, time management, meeting preparation, prioritization of activities and collection and reporting of program progress reports
  • Evaluating the entire products development process and instituting the appropriate stage gates for concept commit, execution commit, and sales/launch commits. Driving the overall process and ensuring the appropriate governance around it to ensure consistency and discipline in the product development process.    Should development enhancements become identified, assist in the definition of new processes
  • Set monthly and quarterly plans based on BU priorities and applying KPIs to measure progress; manage various program’s actions and deliverables that reflect and address these priorities and manage inbound requests based on the Plan
  • Design and implement the EVP’s operating cadence, including running staff meetings and QBRs – projects updates, initiatives, key issues/tasks, and metrics adherence
  • Be actively involved with development of keynote presentations and strategic communications.  Efforts can include topic ideation and research; script development; PowerPoint slides with notes; and analyst and customer interactions
  • Partner with the EVP to design, implement, and manage the operational KPIs for the organization, including business KPIs such as revenue, opportunity and expense tracking by product line.  KPI management will include product indicators specific to critical programs
  • In active collaboration with other Director of Business Operations, coordinate the execution of cross functional strategic initiatives.   Organize and execute activities in a productive and open environment. Work across organizations to accomplish goals. Own recurring meeting series, workshops and other sessions with agendas, solve problems effectively and help position the team for success

About You: 

  • We seek a seasoned, accomplished program operations professional who has provided instrumental operational leadership to executives and whose background and passion aligns well to product development organizations and has focused on strategically and tactically developing and managing concurrent, high-impact programs
    • Of high interest will be learning your direct involvement in SDLC process evaluation and re-definition experiences
  • Possessing first-rate organizational skills, you’ll be focused on developing, managing and/or delivering high priority, diverse projects on time and of the highest quality
    • Problem framing – identify and promote structures/frameworks/models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs at hand
    • Project management - successfully shepherd complex projects; is clearly organized, retains a strategic vision while sweating the details, and can comfortably influence all levels of stake holders and customers
    • Operating in ambiguity - can hold multiple, conflicting “truths” at once, and not get perturbed by lack of clear direction
  • Your proven interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills will enable you to collaborate and be influential at all levels
  • Let us challenge your advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint experiences
  • Bring your well-honed research and analytical skills to cover a wide range of business and technology areas.     Specific to detailed analysis, we’ll enjoy learning how you establish, measure and report on KPIs
  • Business travel will take place, including multiple international trips per year, but with advance planning in mind
