At McAfee, growth doesn't happen by accident. Behind many of the learning experiences, development programs, and leadership resources that support members of team McAfee is Lynne, a Talent Development and Engagement Manager passionate about helping people reach their potential.
We caught up with Lynne to learn more about her role, what motivates her, and why creating opportunities for growth is at the heart of everything she does.

"I like to think of myself as a bridge-builder for growth," says Lynne.
As a Talent Development and Engagement Manager, Lynne partners with teams across McAfee to design learning experiences, support leadership development, and help employees build the skills they need to succeed.
Whether she's facilitating workshops, creating learning content, or developing resources for leaders, her focus is always on helping people grow.
One area she's especially passionate about is the employee experience.
"Joining a new company can feel like jumping onto a moving train," she says. "I want people to feel welcomed, connected, and confident that this is a place where they can learn and grow from day one."
More broadly, Lynne is focused on fostering a culture built around continuous learning and a growth mindset.
"I'm focused on helping people develop skills that support both their professional and personal lives."
How does your work support McAfee's mission?
While Lynne isn't building cybersecurity technology herself, she sees a direct connection between her work and McAfee's mission.
"Our engineers protect the digital world, while I focus on strengthening the people and culture behind that work," she explains.
"When employees feel confident, supported, and informed, they're better positioned to innovate, collaborate, and solve problems for our customers."
Recently, Lynne has been excited to partner with teams across the business on initiatives designed to help employees set stronger goals, develop new skills, and create meaningful impact in their roles.
What's been most rewarding about your experience at McAfee?
For Lynne, one of the most meaningful opportunities has been helping define and support leadership success across the organization.
"Leadership plays a critical role in developing people and building high-performing teams," she says. "Creating clarity around what great leadership looks like helps people grow and creates stronger outcomes for everyone."
She's also grateful for the leaders who have invested in her own development.
"I've been fortunate to work with people who have challenged me, trusted me with important projects, and helped me continue growing throughout my career."
What stands out about McAfee's culture?
One aspect of McAfee that surprised Lynne was the company's emphasis on authentic, human-centered communication.
"Even in a high-tech environment, there's a genuine effort to connect with people in a way that's conversational, empathetic, and authentic," she says. "People care about helping one another succeed, and that makes a real difference."
What do you enjoy outside of work?
When she's not focused on learning and development, Lynne enjoys a creative hobby that might surprise people.
"I recently started a cake pop side quest," she laughs. "It's become my favorite creative outlet. I love experimenting with designs and seeing people's faces light up when they receive something that's been made just for them."
