In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re proud to spotlight Dora Wilson, a passionate member of our Legal International Team and an active contributor to McAfee’s Hispanic Organization for Leadership & Advancement (HOLA) community.
Dora brings her Colombian heritage, legal expertise, and deep commitment to collaboration into everything she does. Her story is a testament to the power of inclusion, connection, and the vibrant cultures that shape our global team.
A Legal Mind with a Global Impact
As part of McAfee’s Legal International Team, Dora supports the Latin American region, partnering with teams across Sales, Legal, People Success, Litigation, Procurement, and Corporate Subsidiaries. She also manages our NDA tool and serves as the administrator for LinkSquares, our Contract Lifecycle Management platform.
“I love helping others,” Dora shares. “Even though I plan my days, every day brings something new—it’s always an adventure.”
Her proactive approach helps accelerate contract processes, enabling our Sales teams to move quickly and deliver McAfee’s cybersecurity solutions to partners and customers around the world.
A Journey Rooted in Purpose
Dora’s career began in Bogotá, Colombia, where she worked in the legal department at Procter & Gamble. Encouraged by a mentor to pursue a paralegal path, she later moved to Texas—thanks to a long-distance love story—and earned her paralegal degree. That journey led her to McAfee, where she’s been making an impact ever since.
“The people at McAfee are incredible,” Dora says. “I’ve had the privilege of working with a truly diverse group from all over the world. That diversity makes McAfee special.”
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Heart
For Dora, Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate identity, share traditions, and build community.
“I wear my Colombian T-shirt and spend time with friends and colleagues. I love sharing food from different Latin American and Caribbean countries and hearing the variety of Spanish accents. It’s a beautiful way to connect and learn from each other.”
Her involvement with McAfee’s HOLA community has been a meaningful part of her journey. Dora has served on the Hispanic Heritage committee and watched the community grow into a vibrant space for cultural celebration, support, and connection.
“HOLA is a space where we celebrate culture, support one another, and build lasting connections.”
Life Beyond Work
Outside of McAfee, Dora enjoys spending time with her husband John—who brought her to Texas 20 years ago—and staying connected with her family in Colombia. She’s a history buff with a love for World War II European history, and she’s not afraid to admit one thing:
“I’m a bad Colombian—I don’t like coffee… I know! 🙄 ”
