Maria’s role touches many parts of the employee experience. Based in Frisco, Texas, she oversees the front desk and concierge experience, supports engagement activities and executive events, and partners closely with the Workplace & Engagement team to help manage multiple office locations.
“What motivates me most is promoting McAfee’s team culture and constantly improving the in‑office experience,” Maria says. “I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel connected, welcomed, and supported.”
That sense of care became especially important as McAfee reopened its Frisco office following the pandemic.
“When our office opened, we had a real opportunity to intentionally build a collaborative culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and warmth,” Maria shares. “Hospitality can feel like an empty concept in an empty office—but today our space is vibrant and meaningful.”
That work hasn’t just stayed local. The approach Maria and her team developed in Frisco has inspired new ideas and activities in other McAfee locations—a ripple effect she finds especially rewarding.
The Power of Behind‑the‑Scenes Impact
One of Maria’s proudest moments has been watching teams come back together and rebuild connections that support both employee experience and business outcomes.
“It’s been amazing to see what collaboration, trust, and shared commitment can achieve,” she says.
What’s surprised her most about McAfee’s culture is the openness. “I feel comfortable sharing ideas and feedback, and I know I’ll be heard,” Maria notes. “My manager and VP actively encourage growth—giving me opportunities to stretch while supporting me along the way.”
That support has played a huge role in her development. “They continuously challenge me to grow in new ways while creating an environment where learning is encouraged.”
Redefining the Role of Admin Professionals
For Maria, being an administrative professional is about service and impact.
“We’re part of the operational backbone of the company,” she explains. “Admins anticipate ne+eds, connect people and information, influence culture, and help everything run smoothly—often behind the scenes.”
And it’s precisely that behind‑the‑scenes work that makes such a difference in how employees feel at work.

When she’s not supporting McAfee teams, Maria recharges with experiences that bring her joy—spa treatments, great food (especially sushi and Brazilian BBQ), snorkeling, and traveling to new places.
